Second Peoplevox Customer Forum a natural hit and showered with praise!

Peoplevox Blog

On October 27th, Natural Baby Shower were kind enough to host our second PVX Customer Forum Event at their state-of-the-art warehouse/office headquarters in Bracknell.

We were delighted to welcome around 20 representatives from Peoplevox and Brightpearl customers to the event. Kicking us off after a caffeine hit, Clifton Vaughan, CEO and Founder of Natural Baby Shower, talked us through the business he set up with his wife over 10 years ago: how it started, the challenges and obstacles they have encountered over the way, and the extraordinary growth journey he has been on with the brand. There was a strong set of questions from the room – everyone wanted to know how they were preparing for Black Friday and some of the key lessons they’d learnt over the years, operating an ecommerce business of this nature.

Next up, our own Amandeep Bhatti took the floor alongside Gregg Thompson from Brightpearl by Sage to discuss the various tech platforms available to ecommerce businesses, and when each makes sense for brands at different stages of growth.

The second half of the day allowed for the theory to become practical as we donned our Hi-Vis and embarked on a live walking tour of the distribution centre with warehouse manager Kevin Lapworth. The group followed the journey of an order from Goods-In, through the picking process, and into the boxing room where orders are packed and despatched.

Loads of great insight from Kevin on how they have continuously improved on their processes year after year, and attendees from other companies were keenly taking notes and asking questions as we toured the impressive facility.

The day wrapped up with lunch and a chance to discuss everything that we’d seen over the course of the warehouse walk. It was fantastic to see the owners of retailers in our customer community connecting directly and sharing advice, as well as having our partners Brightpearl present on the day to share in the experience and plan for future collaborations.
