Namely thermal printers for labels, and A4 printers for any additional documentation that needs to be inserted in your customers’ packages.
The WMS is set-up to allow for easy, automated printing of both labels and documentation which will save you a tonne of time. Having printers that can wirelessly communicate with your staff’s mobile devices will allow for quick and easy printing.
One of the benefits of our WMS is that it can work offline for short periods of time. So if there are any ‘black spots’ in your warehouse where it’s difficult to get a strong WiFi connection, you won’t have to worry about having the WMS drop out. That being said, if you don’t already have WiFi in your warehouse, you will need to make that investment in order for our system to work.
You don’t need to invest in top-of-the-range scanners. You can use our WMS on cheaper Android devices to save on upfront costs and service charges.
Some of our clients use finger scanners in their warehouses, with larger devices strapped to their wrists; these smaller scanners are really good at increasing picking speed and improving staff mobility.
You don’t need specialist storage for our WMS to work, but if we recognise that the way you’re currently storing items in your warehouse isn’t the most efficient way of getting the job done then we will recommend different types of specialist storage that will suit your requirements.
When you have the right type of storage in your warehouse, it makes it far easier to organise different product types and makes it easier to establish more dynamic and efficient picking methods.
