How this Argentinian online retailer implemented a WMS remotely

Founded in 2011, Fotter was the first online retailer to specialise in footwear, accessories, and apparel in Argentina, tapping into a very niche market. Wishing to offer the very best service for their customers and clients, Fotter recognised their need for a competent warehouse management system that could manage the complexity of their behind-the-scenes processes.

The Challenge

Being the only company targeting the footwear and accessories niche in Argentina, Fotter needed a warehouse management system that could integrate with their current e-commerce platform, Magento, and that could grow as the company expanded, keeping them ahead of the competition. Before Peoplevox, Fotter were doing manual stock updates in Magento, locating products in the warehouse using paper, and updating inventory figures via a CSV file. All of these processes were far too inefficient for the company to scale up as they wanted.

The Solution

Fotter was interested in a solution that could be easily implemented and that would integrate with Magento. As the Peoplevox system is a web-based software, it could be deployed remotely to Fotter’s Argentinian warehouse as easily as if they had been UK based. With the Peoplevox’s off-the-shelf integration to Magento, Fotter were also able to implement the system with no technical know-how required so that their customers could continue to receive the same excellent customer service with improved logistics.

The Results

After implementing Peoplevox’s Warehouse Management System, Fotter no longer had to rely on manual processes and as a result they increased their orders picked per person by 50% and they now have a 99.84% stock accuracy. One big benefit was also that they now need 50% fewer staff needed at peak than before.
